An intriguing small silver pendant

Uncertain, 3rd-5th centuries. Pendant (Silver, 5x5x6 mm, 1.65 g), in the form of a cube engraved in intaglio on four sides. Side A: ЄIANO / VAPIC in two lines. Side B: Hercules standing left, resting right hand on club set on the ground, and holding the apples of the Hesperides and lion's skin. Side C: Helmeted Roma seated left, holding globe and spear; a second spear behind. Side D: Lion advancing left. An intriguing and well made tine silver object. Some deposits, otherwise, good very fine.

Ex Leu Web Auction 19, 26-28 February 2022, 3435 and previously from a European collection, formed before 2005.
